Forbes Travel Guide has rated the North San Diego resort five stars for three straight years now.
Travel + Leisure has it pegged as the top resort in California and fourth best in the country. Even U.S. News & World Report got into the act rating it tops in the Golden State.
Its Addison restaurant has received AAA Five Diamonds six years running while Wine Spectator has bestowed its Grand Award five years in a row. Addison’s Executive Chef William Bradley recently won Robb Report’s Culinary Masters competition. The resort’s suites have been featured in Elite Traveler 101 Top Suites list.
So for those who are looking for a new reason to come visit, come Spring two new villas will be added to the resort’s current ten strong inventory. Starting at 4,200 square feet, three large bedrooms and $6,000 per night, villas embody the Southern California lifestyle with a design acknowledging the indoor/outdoor way that comes with good weather. Hot tubs, fire pits and barbeques compliment amenities such as a state-of-the-art media room. There are private gyms and at the same time your own elevator. Mini grand pianos and wet bars make the residences perfect for entertaining. Several of the villas are ideally combined for families, and staying in them brings all services of hotel guests. In fact the location is walking distance from the main lobby.
Expected online in May will be the largest villa at 9,500 square feet with five bedrooms and a private pool.
Of course if you run out of things to do after spa, golf, fine dining and want a bit of action, there is a nightclub with live music and deejay on Friday and Saturday nights where the crowd tops out at over 600. Alternatively, guests have rented out the club to have their own private parties. And if you like what you see, the villas can also be purchased in tenth shares yielding 25 nights per year.
