The theme on the invitation stated “Hot Mom”. And host Belinda Chua of Flower Diamond was certainly all that, decked out in a glittery fuchsia dress and sparkling diamonds. Her co-host was daughter Sabrina, freshly returned from her jewellery design course in London. Many ladies had picked up on the unspoken dress code of pinks and florals, complemented, to their delight, by sweet hand bouquets of pink and yellow blooms that awaited them at their place setting. There were a few mother-daughter pairs in attendance, so gift shopping was the order of the day from the bling on display. Among them were Elena and Gerti Iwatake, with the former quipping that as her birthday was also coming up, anything she bought for mum would also be a present for herself!
