On October 5, the second edition of Forced to Fly: An Anthology of Writings That Will Make You See the Funny Side of Living Abroad was released.
Edited and published by Jo Parfitt of Summertime Publishing, the book is not a simple reprint of the first edition, but rather this popular book of humorous, touching and relatable stories of expats living around the world has been updated considerably to include even more tales that will have you nodding, laughing, crying and saying “I know exactly what they mean” when it comes to various aspects of culture shock, culture clash, change and figuring out your identity in a new country.
With a foreword by ‘expat expert’ Robin Pascoe, Forced to Fly included anthologies from the likes of Apple Gidley, Jack Scott, Niamh Ni Bhroin, Deb Fletcher and more.
Global Living Magazine’s own Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Alison Cavatore, reviewed the book and said, “Delightfully relevant. A cleverly crafted collection of expatriate stories and advice, including the good, the bad and the hilarious side of international living. Perfect for global nomads looking to feel connected through shared experiences.”
The book is available at Jo Parfitt’s Expat Bookshelf and Amazon (in paperback and Kindle editions).
