A three-star, boutique hotel in Bermuda has managed to take the top spot on Expedia’s list of best-reviewed hotels.
Of the 650 properties considered, the Royal Palms Hotel in Bermuda tops the list with 126 verified guests giving the property a 4.9 out of 5 note.
One hundred percent of guests also recommended the property to fellow travelers praising the bed and breakfast-style boutique hotel for its old world charm, friendly service and immaculate rooms.
In addition to guest satisfaction, winning hotels are those that consistently deliver value for money with competitive pricing, pristine amenities and superior customer service, says Expedia.
Meanwhile, the Royal Palms is the first to point out that their suites are not dripping in gold and crystals, and advise potential guests that awards and accolades are based on guest satisfaction and not its opulence.
“…we feel it would be useful to remember that awards are largely based on guest satisfaction which is closely tied to relative value for money and not simply on how ‘ritzy’ a hotel is,” reads an excerpt from their website.
Located near Hamilton, the property consists of two, flamingo pink 19th-century manor houses that reflect Colonial and Bermudian architecture.
