On Aug. 7, Gooding & Co sold a White 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB at Auction for a record US$3.08 million.
Unbelievably, it all happened online.
With only 40 of the coupe ever made, it became the most expensive car ever sold on the Internet.
Not a surprise, given the Covid-19 situation which has ended many ‘in person’ auctions.
Before the sale, David Gooding, auction house president and CEO, said “It’s basically an all-original car with an original interior, a lot of original paint, and long-term ownership”.
