Ferretti Group is set to release its Custom Line 140’ planing superyacht in 2022, which will replace the Navetta 42 displacement model as its flagship superyacht.
The upcoming Custom Line 140’ has an overall length of 42.15m and a beam measuring 8.57m, in comparison to the Navetta 42’s dimensions at 41.8m and 8.1m.
Created in partnership with Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and its Engineering Department, the superyacht is the third Custom Line Yacht to feature interior and exterior designs by Francesco Paszkowski, with interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini and Custom Line Atelier.

The Custom Line 140’ has an estimated volume of just under 400GT — double that of the 199GT Navetta 30, the range’s current entry-level model. It’s also expected to reach up to a top speed of 21.5 knots based on preliminary data, thanks to its high-speed displacement.
The hull has floor-to-ceiling glazing on deck, offering spectacular views, and its windows are also generously sized. A notable highlight of the deck is a painted aluminium handrail with Y-shaped uprights — elegant and functional design by Paszkowski.
The main deck features a 320sqft saloon and the owner’s suite, which also offers over 320 sqft of space as well. The bedroom features double everything — walk-in wardrobes, sinks, showers, and baths. You even get the option of a panoramic drop-down terrace.
The lower deck offers three VIP cabins, twin guest cabins, and a crew area that accommodates up to seven in three en-suite cabins. The captain’s cabin is on the upper deck.
The yacht makes full use of its space by having the upper deck connected to the forward area by side corridors, which can also be accessed by the bridge.
The upper deck has a sky lounge and a 190sqft bridge. The sky lounge has a relaxation area with a hydromassage tub and free-standing furniture. The bow area features an outdoor lounge and a garage and can be used to stow a jet ski or tender.
The design of the yacht takes great care to separate the guest areas from the crew and technical areas using sealed passageways. Floating systems, special materials, and additional insulation between bulkheads and ceilings will also ensure guests have the most comfortable stay onboard.
Like all new-generation Custom Line yachts, the 140’ will be certified according to IMO Tier III standards to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides in exhaust fumes.
Also in superyacht news, the Monaco Yacht Show had recently wrapped up on September 25. Benetti showcased the longest superyacht in the world, called the IJE. It was built for Australian billionaire James Packer and was named after his children, Indigo, Jackson, and Emanuelle (IJE). Benetti also debuted the 65m Zazou and the first Diamond 44M, a 145ft fibreglass yacht.
