They’re hitched! Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa married longtime love Heather Rae Young during a gorgeous wedding ceremony on Saturday, October 23.
“MR. & MRS. EL MOUSSA!!! I married the love of my life today,” Heather gushed via Instagram. “My sweet man, my everything. Cheers to forever and then some.” For Tarek’s part, he shared his own sweet announcement on social media, writing, “WE’RE MARRIED!!!! Flipped her name for good.”
Tarek, 40, proposed to the Selling Sunset star, 34, on July 26, 2020, during a trip to Catalina Island. He popped the question one year after the couple first began dating.
The real estate mogul did not hold back when it came to her stunning ring. The colorless, emerald-cut diamond weighs a whopping eight carats, Tarek told People at the time, noting he had a romantic reason for his pricey purchase.
“The diamond is perfect all the way around — just like Heather,” the HGTV star sweetly explained. “I also picked this ring because eight is a lucky number.”
In January 2021, Tarek gushed over his bride while they two celebrated their 18-month anniversary in New York City.
“I love this girl more and more by the day! I came home with @heatherraeyoung after four days of dating, she moved in and we never looked back,” the Flipping 101 star revealed about the early days of their romance. He added the model “exponentially improved” his life and the lives of his children, daughter Taylor and son Brayden, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Haack.
“Everyone said I was crazy, but here we are … She’s our rock, our best friend and my hunny bunny. We love you to the moon and back,” he continued. “I can’t wait to continue to build this life with you. You make me a better man.”
The feeling is definitely mutual. On Valentine’s Day 2021, Heather surprised Tarek by getting a tattoo on her hip that read: “Yes sir, Mr. El Moussa.”
The California native reflected on the day she met her “soulmate” in a sweet Instagram post on July 4. “I was down in Newport celebrating the 4th with some of my friends, and we ended up jumping on Tarek’s boat,” she wrote, quipping that “the rest is history.”
“I still get chills every time I think about it, and it just goes to show that you never know what life has in store for you,” she continued. “Cheers to my future husband on creating our dream life together … I love our love.”
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. El Moussa!
