Weekend is almost there and I’m always on the hunt for cool and – most important – instagrammable food spots in Munich. Food may be my biggest hobby! To be honest, the last places I tried were only good to take pictures but you really won’t go there for the food. That’s why I decided to share my rare, favorite foodie hotspots with you this week to maybe try out on the weekend, where you get delicious AND instagrammable food!
Occam Deli
For sure one of my favorite restaurants in Munich, even if it’s only a deli! Very cool industrial interior design, earthenware, tables in subtle colors (nothing worse for Instagram pictures than these warm wooden tables or tablecloths) and seriously everything I ever ordered was fantastic! From breakfast (even the granola is yummmmm) over cakes (just the table full of countless different cakes is worth a visit and picture ) to dinner and drinks.
Brotzeiten
The cutest little stand on Elisabethmarkt full of cozy interiors, mixtures of fabrics and textures, inspirational quotes and books. The delicious breads and cakes are served on super cute decorated wooden boards with blossoms all over. Make sure to visit this lovely stand as long as Elisabethmarkt is still the way it is (plans for modernisation, ugh).
Morso
My favorite café in Munich. Everything typical Italian, delicious pastries, tramezzini, and one of the rare places in Munich where you actually get good coffee. And super cool, industrial retro design with dark woods and copper.
Stereo Café
A very bright and pretty café upstairs of a men fashion boutique where everything is served in the prettiest Rosenthal porcelain, beautiful flowers in porcelain vases, white tables, velvet couches and a beautiful view from the window front. Such a pretty place! Have the delicious banana bread and rumor has it that they do have my favorite Pastéis de Nata from time to time.
Aran am Tegernsee
What could be better on a sunny summer weekend than a little getaway to beautiful Tegernsee! And here you can find the only restaurant on all lakes around Munich I really like to take pictures at. Bright window front directly on the water, the cutest white interiors reminding me of France and pretty blossoms everywhere. No better place for the fanciest Brotzeit!
Kokumi
A rather small Japanese restaurants with a paper wall full of cherry blossoms (ok no real ones but still pretty) and the coolest fusion sushi. Which also looks insanely good! Must tries: The parmesan and truffle edamame and the sushi roll with smoked cheese.
Sorry but no picture taken yet – so go out and see it yourself!!
