Fright-Fabulous Fetes: Halloween 2016

This Halloween, there are plenty of occasions for kids and grownups alike to celebrate with a spooky-good time, from traditional bashes like Devil’s Night to a brand-new Spooky Soirée at The Gardens Mall.

To start the festivities off, The South Florida Fair will continue its annual tradition of presenting Spookyville on Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 28-31. Highlights include trick-or-treating, costume parades, bounce houses, arts and crafts, a barrel train, a spooky house, and a big coloring wall. The cost is $10 per person, which includes carnival rides and games, and kids 2 and younger are free.

On October 22, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center will host its annual sea turtle–themed celebration, Turtleween, which features trick-or-treating with the loggerheads and costume competitions.

Each adult guest will receive a complimentary Halloween-themed cocktail from BRIO Tuscan Grille, while Kids’ Club members will enjoy “Mad Science” demonstrations, arts and crafts stations, and pictures with fairy princesses and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Each child will also receive a special Halloween goodie bag.

Finally, there’s Devil’s Night presented by The Gentlemen of the Garden on October 29. Hosted at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, this event will treat costumed revelers to lavish cuisine, open bars, and a Cirque du Soleil–inspired performance. Tickets cost $250.
