Hello, Engineered Garments x Sebago – it is (for some) a post-sneaker world. That means it’s time to navigate through the noise of constant sneaker drops to build a rotation of mules, loafers, and everything in between.
If you’re accustomed to Nike, New Balance, and Saucony, then finding your debut non-runner can prove quite the task. Fret not, Engineered Garments and Sebago’s collaborative efforts take some of the leg work out of the experience, providing a tight lineup of three silhouette variations.
The new options for Fall/Winter 2021 follow a successful collaboration between the pair for Spring/Summer which offered six variations on the classic boat shoe. Each of the resulting finishes demonstrated the strength of EG designer Daiki Suzuki’s contemporary design approach and keen eye for detail.
Each of the three styles for FW21 is offered in three finishes via three separate drops throughout the season. The first –which is available now –is a Vibram-equipt mocassin in waxed leather, crocodile-print leather, and pony hair.
If open-foot territory is a step too far from comfort, October welcomes the Sebago Overlap in a winter-ready mid-top variation. Again, three different leather finishes are available in alternate colorways.
Tying things together in November is a lace-free ring boot, complete with the same fabrication and color options of the other two styles.
