Often when people hunt for good spots for Steaks. Sophie’s Steakhouse is named, it’s been on the to go list for a while. 2 years ago I had a friends gathering and choose Sophie’s for a meal.
Sophie’s was excellent for catering the 10 of us, as they don’t take bookings. We were dead set on ordering the theatre set menu of 2 courses.
The set menu is a great deal for 2 courses at £12.95 or a 3 course for £15.95.

Most of the party went for steak and chips and desserts. The steak was a lean rump cut, a nice bit of quality of meat but didn’t quite wow me. The meat was flamed grilled with salt and pepper to perfection for my usual medium-rare order. The secret steak sauce saved my steak, with its tomato based sour sauce. I lathered loads on my meat, and you can be pleased that Selfridges stocks them.

The creme Brule was standard and came occupied with a tack of biscuits, overall given the location the theatre menu is total steal for 2 courses. The steaks are pretty decent and I shall return and try the other cuts of meat.
