Ahead of spring, the Italian luxury brand has created a deep, sensual and intense new eau de parfum based on striking contrasts.

Giorgio Armani enlisted Alberto Morillas, the nose behind the original Acqua di Gio fragrance, to create this new version, which is meant to symbolize the merging of sea waves with black rocks on the shore.

Described as an aquatic, aromatic and woody composition, Acqua di Gio Profumo is built around the contrasts between fresh sea notes and deeper masculine notes such as incense.

Elemi and bergamot open the eau de parfum, giving way to a heart of geranium, sage and rosemary. Incense and patchouli base notes round out the essence.

This new version will arrive at perfume counters and authorized retailers starting March 23. Price: €63.50 for 40ml.
