For those of you who tuned in to the finale of The Bachelorette, then you already know Tayshia Adams, who took over for Clare Crawley midway through the season, is engaged to contestant Zac Clark! Now that they can finally talk about their relationship publicly, Bachelor Nation is dying to know one thing: When are Tayshia and Zac getting married?!
âAt first, Zac was the person to be like, âWe could get married next week.â And I was like, âSlow your roll.â Iâd love to date a year,â the season 16 star, 30, revealed to Marie Claire in February 2021. âAnd now Iâm like, âYou want to ⌠maybe next month?â And heâs like, âTayshia, slow your roll.â Weâre back and forth. But thereâs no timeline. Itâs definitely going to happen. I just donât know when.â
The former leading lady previously opened up about their marriage timeline during a December 2020 appearance on Good Morning America. âWeâre just going with the flow at the moment,â she said at the time. âWeâre just gonna date each other, how about that?â
âYeah, I mean, I want a big wedding when the day does come,â Zac, 36, chimed in during the interview. âShe might think differently and sheâs gonna get what she wants, but I wanna date you. You know? I wanna date you and take you out and all those things.â While itâs clear fans wonât be getting a wedding special anytime soon, Tayshia did say the season 16 couples has âa lot of fun plans coming up.â
Ultimately, Zac and Tayshia have an undeniable connection â and the addiction specialistâs proposal to the California native was no doubt proof of that! âI came here because I was supposed to be here, and I came here because I was supposed to fall in love with you,â Zac declared during the season 16 finale, which aired on Tuesday, December 22. âNothing has felt so right my entire life. Youâve helped me experience the love I didnât know existed ⌠I love you because you are a strong, independent woman, who makes everyone better. I love you because you believe in me.â
With a speech like that, itâs no wonder Tayshia said yes! âI know that I told you that I loved you, but itâs more than that. Itâs this wild, wild, wild love that Iâve tried to come up with so many reasons not to believe,â the Bachelor in Paradise alum responded. âYou truly made me believe there doesnât need to be flaws, and I deserve love with a man who wonât run away ⌠Yes, it is real and I feel it too.â
Although Tayshia did have chemistry with finalists Ben Smith, Ivan Hall and Brendan Morais, Zac was obviously The One!
