She’s outta here — again. Real Housewives of New Jersey original cast member Danielle Staub revealed that she will be leaving the Bravo TV hit series for a second time. Yeah, you read that right. The 57-year-old made the announcement while appearing with network boss Andy Cohen on his late night show, Watch What Happens Live, on January 8.
“Well I have over the past 12 years and 10 seasons been a part of this whole franchise,” the brunette babe told the 50-year-old host while appearing with Real Housewives of Dallas star Stephanie Hollman. “And I’ve been very happy to rally and stand on the platform and be here with all of you, but it is time for me to leave and do something that I want to do that makes my heart happy everyday.”
After that, she dropped the bomb of all bombs. “And so I will be never returning as a Housewife again,” she said. “Nope, never returning as a Housewife again … with the Jersey girls.” It was interesting to hear her leave off with such a specific caveat — should we expect her to pop up as a guest, friend or even housewife on another franchise? Remains to be seen!
Any particular reason why the mysterious maven decided to blow the RHONJ popsicle stand for the second time? Well, it turns out Danielle plans to start her own cooking channel. “Cooking is basically therapy for me,” she gushed. “I find my peace in the kitchen.” She even explained that she cooks often for daughter Jillian and her friends, even when they plan on having a night out. Plus, her homemade eats are gluten and dairy-free.
Danielle made her first appearance on reality TV back in season one of the popular show, alongside Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Dina Manzo. She made her exit after season two when the drama came to a head between herself and Teresa, 47.
For a while, it seemed like we’d seen the last of the firecracker, but she returned to her Jersey roots for seasons 8 and 9 of the franchise and continued as a guest for the current season 10. See ya soon, Danielle — we hope!
