If you’re planning on hosting a Halloween party this year, why not impress your guests and expand your snack selection from the usual candy combinations? Skip over the bulk bags of traditional treats and stop in at one of these local chocolatiers and pick up some gourmet goodies.

Oh My Chocolates

Tucked away at the end of Clematis Street, this little chocolate shop is stuffed to the brim with adorable stuffed animals and homemade artisan truffles in a rainbow of colors and flavors, ranging from classics such as coffee, orange, and strawberry to specialties like bananas foster, champagne, and dulce de leche. Each chocolate is made fresh, by hand and in-store, and makes for a beautiful accompaniment to any holiday display.

Hoffman’s Chocolates

This local South Florida shop is offering a myriad of delicious Halloween treats this fall, including gourmet caramel apples rolled in crunchy nuts ($6.75-9.75) and a haunted house made entirely of chocolate, complete with a candy ghost and witch peeping out the windows ($29.95). In addition, these dipped-and-decorated Oreos ($12.50) and cute ghost pops ($2.50) will make the perfect favors at your party.

Peterbrooke Chocolatier

Known for its delicious chocolate-covered popcorn mixes, this Palm Beach classic is offering several gourmet goodies for your Halloween hoopla, from white chocolate bats ($5) to milk chocolate jack-o’-lantern lollipops ($7) and gilded pumpkin Rice Krispy treats ($10), sure to please kids and grownups alike!

And if you’re looking to deck out your Thanksgiving table next month as well, Peterbrooke is also offering a myriad of delicious treats from an entire cornucopia made of chocolate and stuffed with its signature chocolate-covered popcorn ($45) to miniature turkeys that come in both milk and dark chocolate versions ($7), and colorful foiled maple leaf-shaped chocolates ($8) perfect for celebrating the autumn season.
