On Monday, November 11, Hailey Baldwin took to Instagram to leave a supportive message for her uncle Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, after the author revealed she suffered a miscarriage with baby No. 5. “I’m so sorry,” Hailey, 22, wrote. “Love you guys.”
The model’s thoughtful message came just after Hilaria, 35, shared an emotional statement on social media. “We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at four months. We also want you to know that even though we are not OK right now, we will be,” she began.
“We are so lucky with our four healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this. I told Carmen and took this so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you, too. I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all … but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time. I’m really devastated right now. I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say. I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear.”
Hilaria and the Saturday Night Live actor, 61, share four beautiful children — Carmen, 6, Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 1. Sadly, this is the second miscarriage Hilaria has suffered this year. In April, she wrote, “There was no heartbeat today at my scan. So, it’s over … but I have some pretty strong and amazing heartbeats right here. I am surrounded by such love and I feel so fortunate.”
“Thank you all for listening, for your support and for sharing your own personal stories. We are stronger together,” the strong mother continued. “I hope this conversation continues to grow and that we stick together through both the beautiful and challenging moments in life. Much love and appreciation to all of you.”
We’re sending Hilaria, Alec and their family positive thoughts during this difficult time.
