High Jewellery: Dior Explores the Hidden Secrets of the Palace of Versailles
In this latest haute Joaillerie showcase, from romantic intrigue to royal passions, Creative Director of Dior Joaillerie Victoire de Castellane opens the doors to the mysteries of the royal palace where private passages and hidden boudoirs reveal 36 exceptional creations and colours from the “Dior à Versailles, pièces secrètes” collection.
Comprising fine jewellery pieces crafted by jewellery ateliers and inspired by jewellery of the past, several rings open up to reveal secret compartments for precious keepsakes or have secret sliding drawers. A diamond also pivots on its axis to reveal another stone underneath.
“I wanted chiaroscuro stones, faded pinks, more purple reds, iridescent moonstones, deeper sky blues. The colours themselves seem a little mysterious, like silks.” – Joaillerie Victoire de Castellane, Creative Director of Dior.
Standout pieces in this Dior Joaillerie collection, include the “Vanité Emeraude” necklace in yellow gold, white gold, diamonds, emeralds and colour-change garnets, the “Cachette Tiroir Diamant” ring in rose gold and diamonds, and the “Vanité Pierre de Lune” earrings in white gold, diamonds, moonstones, sapphires and pink sapphires.
The Dior Joaillerie collection is a beautiful homage to the powerful spell of sophistication and elegance as well as a fine testament to Dior’s unparalleled craftsmanship and artistry in the world of jewellery.
