Finding the perfectly eclectic gift for the art lover in your life can be challenging. The hunt just got easier thanks to the new West Palm Beach Arts Festival, taking place at the Armory Art Center December 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The idea for this inaugural arts bazaar came from the desire to attract more visitors to the modest ceramics sale the Armory used to host each holiday season, explains executive director Tom Pearson. With at least 120 artists scheduled to participate in this festival, Pearson hopes to see a flood of attendees, many of whom will be visiting the Armory for the first time. “Every time I give a tour for someone who has never been here, they’re amazed at our resources and facility,” Pearson says. “People don’t know the depth of what we do here.”
In addition to local, national, and international art vendors, the festival will include live music, food trucks, and demonstrations of skills taught at the Armory, such as printmaking, stone carving, and sculpting. Want to give the gift of art instruction? Class registration will be available, too.
