Hôtel Plaza Athénée

From its prime location in the Golden Triangle, guests have a perfect home base for hitting the shops, lunching on the patio at L’Avenue or seeing sights like Trocadéro and the Eiffel Tower. The rooms have classic French decor with opulent fabrics, beautiful molding and plenty of gold and crystal touches. The Signature Suites have different themes, and some offer sensational views of the Eiffel Tower. Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée is widely considered to be one of the best restaurants in the world; it holds three Michelin stars and numerous other accolades, and chef Ducasse oversees the other four restaurants and bars, ensuring superb cuisine throughout. The wine cellar is also legendary, and the hotel’s master sommelier, Gerard Margeon, offers private wine tastings amidst the 35,000 bottles in La Cave. For relaxation, the Dior Institut offers both pampering and productive treatments, like microdermabrasion, in its five treatment rooms, and there is a fully equipped gym with personal training and martial arts offerings.

At 4,850 sq ft, the Royal Suite is the largest suite in Paris and famed designer Marie-José Pommereau decorated it with classic French opulence, with fine antiques and original artworks filling the space alongside plenty of brocades and silks. It has four en-suite bedrooms, two drawing rooms, an office and a separate kitchen, and plenty of security features, including a private entrance with two security lobbies. The enormous suite overlooks Avenue Montaigne and has prime views of the Eiffel Tower from its terrace, which spans the width of the hotel.
