As Malaysians, we’re known to be avid lovers of Bangkok and when visiting this colourful city, the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is definitely one of our favourite places to stay.
Despite being a new contender to the city (established in 2015), Anantara Siam Bangkok has well-settled into the competitive world of luxurious Bangkok hotels and resorts.
The reason is that this hotel was formerly the iconic Four Seasons Hotel, which Anantara has taken over and now injected with its Thai resort splendour.
We recently dropped by the hotel for a quick weekend getaway and we are more than impressed with its luxurious quarters. So get ready to be transported into an island resort-like experience right in the heart of Bangkok city.
When it comes to our holidays, the rooms we stayed in needs to have that luxurious “home away from home” experience and Anantara Siam Bangkok excels in it.
Being the former Four Seasons, the hotel boasts of vast grounds with four rooms and six suites types to choose from. There’s no short of opulence and quality in its interior – be it the standard deluxe room, garden terrace room or even the presidential suite.
Each of these exceptional lodgings brings a mix of contemporary decor with classic Thai finishings that make all guests feel like a VIP from the get-go.
If you’re up for an adventure, the Two Bedroom Explorer Suite, exclusively designed by Jim Thompson, is a must for its colonial-inspired interior, marble and teak design and a touch of Thai silk finishing.
Did we also mention the lounge space, office library, voluptuous bathtubs and rain showers?
Rooms aside, be prepared to be wowed by its wide range of dining offerings, most of which are favourites to even the local Thai socialites and Who’s Who of Bangkok.
Our favourite is the Italian fine dining fanfare, Biscotti, that brings the best of the European country to the table.
Now, we know that Bangkok has plenty of local delicacies to offer but trust us when we say this is a must-try. After all, we all need that one fine dining indulgence at least once in every holiday.
That aside, there’s also the Thai restaurant Spice Market, Japanese restaurant Shintaro, open-air garden of Aqua and casual dining of The Terrace that will cater to every foodie’s needs and wants.
From there, let’s have a look at its various services, which includes a free-for-use mobile phone in every room that guests can utilise to navigate through the city.
You can even call back home and other selected countries for free throughout your stay.
Or, if you want a hassle-free experience, just simply call up the concierge and everything can be sorted and arranged for you.
And to end this, we have to applaud Anantara’s commitment to providing an astounding experience from your arrival to your departure, not from the hotel but also to-and-fro the airport, with its range of luxurious chauffeur services including a Mercedes Benz S-Class that comes with complimentary beverages and free Wi-Fi while on-the-go.
Really, what more can we ask for?
