Mike and Natalie’s Drama Started in Ukraine
When Mike and Natalie made their franchise debut, they were already engaged and awaiting a K-1 visa for Natalie so she could legally travel to the United States as the fiancée of an American citizen. The couple, who met when their mutual friends appointed them godparents to their child, hit a bump in the road when there was a delay in the process.
Since they couldn’t wait any longer to see each other in person, Mike booked a trip to Ukraine to visit Natalie. With the K-1 visa (and marriage) looming in the near future, the couple started to discuss big topics like religion, finances and whether or not they wanted children — and learned they had very differing views. They got into a big blowout fight on the night before Mike was scheduled to return to his home in Sequim, Washington, and Natalie threw her engagement ring in his suitcase.
They were still struggling with issues in their relationship when they returned for the season 7 tell-all. Natalie accused Mike of cheating on her with his female best friend, which he denied. Natalie also said she didn’t think her fiancé was her “soulmate,” even though Mike felt she was his.
Mike and Natalie’s Season 8 Return
On the season 8 premiere, Mike and Natalie received the news they had been waiting for: her K-1 visa was finally approved. Even though their relationship was still on the rocks, they decided to give it one last try and use the 90 days leading up to their wedding day as the extra time they needed to work through their problems.
But things got worse when Natalie touched down in Washington. The couple continued to fight as Natalie struggled to adjust to living on a farm in a rural area after living in the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv. They also fought over their differing lifestyles: Natalie is a vegetarian who doesn’t drink while Mike prefers to eat meat and have a beer with dinner. They also clashed over their hopes for their relationship as Natalie thought Mike would have given her ring back to her right away and started planning their wedding. Instead, Mike repeatedly told Natalie he didn’t feel they were ready to get married and seemed to drag his feet about picking a date for their wedding.
The tension reached a boiling point when Mike finally agreed to go to couple’s therapy with Natalie after she insisted they seek professional help. During their first session, Mike told Natalie he wasn’t in love with her anymore.
Natalie was in the midst of an emotional breakdown after Mike called off their wedding during the March 21, 2021, episode. “I will fly to Europe, and from then, I will figure out how I [will] get home. I don’t know honestly yet how. I’m feeling scared because it’s coronavirus and I have to f—king go through [the] airport and it’s f—king scary and it’s not OK,” Natalie said sobbing as she packed her clothes and prepared to leave his house. “But I also think that a man who does this to me doesn’t love me. And this is my last day in America.”
Are Mike and Natalie Married?
Despite the drama leading up to their big day, Mike and Natalie did end up getting married. In Touch confirmed the couple tied the knot in Clallam County, Washington, on April 15, 2020, according to online records.
Mike and Natalie Return for Happily Ever After? Season 6
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all wedded bliss for the couple. By the time they returned for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, their marriage was already on the rocks. Their scenes appeared to be filmed in the fall of 2020, and a big turning point took place while they were in Oklahoma celebrating Thanksgiving with Mike’s mother, Trish.
During their visit, Mike and Natalie stayed with Trish at her home, but Natalie felt Trish wasn’t very welcoming of her. She also felt slighted by Trish several times: when Trish insisted on taking her to a local butcher shop when Trish knew Natalie is a pescatarian, insisted Natalie take a job as an interpreter instead of following her dreams of having a career as an actress and a journalist and when she allegedly called Natalie a “hooker.”
Even though both Mike and Trish denied that Trish called Natalie a “hooker,” that was the last straw for the blonde beauty. On the morning she and Mike were set to return home to Washington, she told Trish that she spoke to her mother and that her mother advised her to not speak to Trish. “I’m sorry. I listen to my mom. Bye,” Natalie said before turning around and walking out of Trish’s home to wait in the car.
Trish and Mike tried to get Natalie to talk over her issues, but Natalie refused, and she gave them both the silent treatment until they got to the airport. Once they arrived, Natalie walked ahead through the airport security line and didn’t say goodbye to Trish.
The tension between Mike and Natalie hit a boiling point on the July 25 episode. While filming their joint confessional, the couple started fighting again because Natalie still felt that Trish called her a “hooker” while she was at her home in November 2020. To clear the air once and for all, Mike told Natalie to call his mother right then and there as they were filming their interviews and confront her.
While on speakerphone, Trish clarified that she “never ever” called Natalie a “hooker.” Natalie also asked Trish what she thinks about her and what she did to make her feel that way, and Trish did not hold back. Trish bluntly told her daughter-in-law that she is upset with her because of the way she treats her son, and that Natalie is “mean” to Michael “all the time.” Trish also claimed Natalie “manipulates” Mike, and she doesn’t believe that Natalie loves her son.
The couple started to fight over their most recent fight on Christmas Eve 2020, after which Natalie left to stay with her friend, Julia, in Seattle. Mike got so upset he stood up from the couch and started yelling across the room. He revealed that his wife only spent one night with him in their home since Christmas because she spends most of her time with Julia. When her husband asked her why she is never home, she said it’s because they fight “a lot.” Mike and Natalie’s argument got so heated that he walked off the set.
Are Mike and Natalie Still Together?
Sadly, Mike’s Uncle Beau Lawrence has since confirmed the pair parted ways exclusively to In Touch. “She has not been home for a couple of months now,” the season 8 alum, 51, revealed in March 2021. “She can stay away for all I care.”
“I’m really hoping [their relationship is over for good],” he added. “I pray to God.”
In June, Uncle Beau and Mike’s neighbor, Tamara, made a joint appearance on the “Kiki and Kibbitz” podcast. Tamara also confirmed Mike and Natalie’s breakup and revealed Natalie was the one who initiated the split, adding that she left Mike’s house on Christmas Eve 2020. Since then, Natalie moved to Florida, while her ex still resides in Washington.
Are Mike and Natalie Divorced?
In Touch can confirm that neither Mike nor Natalie have not filed for divorce, according to court records.
Are Natalie and Mike Dating New People?
As of May 2021, Mike was said to be enjoying his new relationship status. “Mikey and I are having fun again now that I’m single too,” Uncle Beau told In Touch exclusively at the time. “That’s right, well there’s more fish in the sea.”
Since then, Mike sparked dating rumors with Rock of Love Bus alum Marcia “Brazil” Alves. The VH1 star took to Instagram with photos of them spending time together in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 2021. However, she has not posted any photos with Mike and Mike has not posted any photos with Marcia since then.
As for Natalie, she shared her journey to find love again on season 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life. She documented her life as she settled into her new home in St. Petersburg, Florida, and went on dated with several men. However, it seems like she has still yet to find her Mr. Right because she still appears to be single.
In previews for the upcoming season 2 tell-all on Friday, January 28, Mike and Natalie will come face to face and discuss the status of their marriage. Natalie gets extremely upset when Mike says he plans to file for divorce, so fans will have to tune in to see if there is a chance for reconciliation.
