There’s no denying that outdoor wear is at its peak right now with plenty of collaborations and weather-friendly releases from Arc’Teryx, Palace, and so on, and Human Made is jumping on the train with its latest capsule collection.
Whether it was the pandemic that brought gorpcore to its peak, or if it has always been lingering, waiting for its moment to shine, is hard to tell, but Human Made’s latest collection pays homage to one of the most iconic labels – Patagonia. The OG brand’s recognizable mountain logo has been reinterpreted, and turned into a cartoon mountain range with Human Made’s signature heart logo. The graphic makes an appearance across most of the apparel.
The collection is inspired by activities including camping and mountaineering, and features a total of 17 pieces including a shell jacket in an olive green color, logo-branded tracksuits, weather-appropriate fleeces, “Patagonia Made” beanies in four colors, and duck-printed socks. As for accessories, tools including storage boxes in three sizes, blankets, and camping cups are all part of the capsule collection.
Combining fashion with function, the capsule is the perfect mix of the great outdoors and Human Made’s streetwear-influenced design cues. If you’re not wrapping up in a Human Made blanket while camping, are you even doing it right? I’ve also heard coffee tastes better out of a Human Made cup, anyway.
Starting from November 13, the collection can be purchased online as well as in-store at Human Made’s physical locations. Prices start at ¥2,750 (approximately $25) for the socks, and go up to ¥59,400 for the shell jacket.
