At this time of year, people flock to movie theaters to catch the year’s feel-good family flick and the latest Oscar bait. The luxury theater Cinépolis Jupiter is marrying entertainment with philanthropy in honor of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, in theaters November 20. From November 9 to December 4, any moviegoer who donates two or more food items will receive a free popcorn. More importantly, these donations will go to charities that fight hunger, including Feeding South Florida and Agape Food Bank. This national food drive is a first for Cinépolis USA and will be in place in locations throughout the country. Given the anticipated audience for the final installment of The Hunger Games—pre-sales have been open since October 1—and the annual holiday film rush, Cinépolis believes this initiative could make a huge dent in fighting hunger this holiday season.
If you’re feeling hungry, Cinépolis Jupiter has a full menu that can be enjoyed in the theater. |
