I never used to be a huge fan of cold weather, however after my trip to the Slovakian High Tatry mountains back in February, I'm now obsessed with all things ice. It's funny how each season you long for the next, during winter I can't wait for summer, then summer arrives and I long for evenings by the fire watching films. Don't get me wrong, I'm still absolutely loving summer and am still very much a beach girl, but I'm also thinking of where to go in the winter season. I'm currently trying to persuade my friends to go skiing with me in the Italy next ski season as I enjoyed it so much in Slovakia. Fingers crossed we can organize it this year!
I'd heard of the Igloo Pods at Kakslauttanen in Finland before, but after seeing one of my favourite vloggers vlog her experience, I want to go even more now! It's definitely one of those things I want to save to experience with someone special (along with South Africa, Santorini, Venice, and Bora Bora). Now I just need to find a guy who will whisk me away to lie beneath the stars staring up at the Northern Lights!

I'd also love to visit the ICEHOTEL in Sweden someday. I mean, hello, it's a hotel made entirely of ice - even the beds! If that doesn't make you feel like Queen Elsa I don't know what will! Every year it changes as they have to rebuild it, and it just looks so glamorous - very James Bond. I really want to go there and pretend I'm in Frozen in my very own ice palace. Singing and swishy blue cape and all.
You can find out more about these beautiful and unique hotels here on the LV= content hub, or visit their websites (Kakslauttanen and ICEHOTEL).
Have you ever stayed at either of these hotels?
