In fashion, you keep up with trends, and the headlines. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of what the world of fashion delivered this January:
Talking of campaigns, Louis Vuitton has just released its Pre-Fall 2020 campaign that embarks on a narrative journey. True to the saying “let your clothes do the talking”, each look styles the scene of a retro book cover or movie poster. This theme highlights one of the pre-fall pieces; a t-shirt with the original cover from William Peter Blatty’s 1971 cult science-fiction novel The Exorcist. Big names like Deepika Padukone, Sophie Turner and Billie Lourd star in the campaign, enlisted by artistic director of the House, Nicolas Ghesquière.
The list of 164 Christian Louboutin boutiques across the globe now includes its new store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Making its official Malaysian debut is a 92-square-meter space dedicated to red-lacquered soles for men and women. The concept of this boutique is imagined as a small island with intimate lounge spaces, generous mirrors and suede shelves.
Actress and entrepreneur Neelofa launched her dream-come-true collection with Giuseppe Zanotti in December. The designer himself handpicked Neelofa after she attended the Fall Winter 2019 presentation in Milan in February, making it the first collaboration with a Southeast Asian star. Two shoes have been reinvented; the “Dazzling Liza for Neelofa” in blue suede dressed with crystals, and the “Mirror Liza for Neelofa” in metallic leather. These shoes are available in limited quantities exclusively at Giuseppe Zanotti’s boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
