Key Pieces: The Slow Fidelity Water-Repellent Ripstop three-piece collection, created using block-printed cotton ripstop overlayed with a lightweight nylon ripstop layer. When the pieces get wet or exposed to rain, the upper layer becomes sheer and reveals the printed fabric on the inside.

Editor’s Notes: Focusing on active summers spent outdoors, 18 East’s Drop Thirty-Two is all about new and innovative pieces that focus on both functionalities as well as style. Inspired by Antonio Ciongoli‘s personal roots in Vermont and his love for non-mechanized production techniques, the collection explores new production methods that are better for the environment.
For those spending time hiking, 18 East has also teamed up with Insect Shield for an accessory capsule including socks and a drawstring bucket hat, all featuring EPA-registered permethrin built into the yarn in order to repel insects. Additionally, a series of linen garments are also available, arriving with a color palette inspired by Lake Champlain’s Vermont coastline, as well as more casual pieces like printed tees and cargos.
The lookbook keeps it simple and places the collection outdoors in its natural environment, showcasing each of the pieces as well as their functionality. If you haven’t considered hiking or camping this summer, this collection might just inspire you to venture outdoors.
