This week, Thailand hosts its first ever superyacht show at the Ao Po Grand Marina in Phuket from 11-14 February. Headlined with a fleet by Burgess Yachts, 40 exhibitors are part of the Thailand Yacht Show. The recently relaxed superyacht chartering laws played an important part in creating the biggest yachting event to date in the country. Jean-Marc Poullet, chairman of Burgess Asia, believes that the Andaman Sea could become one of the top three superyacht charter destinations in the world. This show is certainly a good start.
At 240 feet, Titania is the largest superyacht at the Thailand Yacht Show and is available for winter cruising in South-East Asia. Refurbished in 2012 with a Francois Zuretti-designed interior, Titania sleeps 12 and includes two master cabins. Some of the more glamorous features include a gym, salon and massage room with resident personal trainer, beautician and masseuse, Jacuzzi with swim up bar and a beach club with sauna, sofa, bar and wide array of watersport equipment. The high season rate is $600,000 per week.
