Harold S Vanderbilt Penthouse
Art Deco styling and Federalist decor come together in the Harold S Vanderbilt Penthouse suite. Reclaiming an unused rooftop, InterContinental Barclay created a luxurious abode with a bird’s-eye view of the spire of the Chrysler Building from its 1,300-sq-ft terrace—a rarity in midtown Manhattan. It’s large enough for a cocktail party, but we understand if you want to keep it all to yourself. Inside, the elegant suite has high ceilings and nods to its history throughout the design, including images of the Vanderbilt family and old maps of New York City. The large living area has a residential feel, with a fireplace, several seating areas and a dining table, as well as nine 46-in televisions.
