Earlier this year – much to the joy of fashion and beauty lovers alike – Gucci announced the launch of its forthcoming cosmetics collection.
Under the creative direction of Frida Giannini, the luxurious new range is set to make waves in the world of luxury cosmetics. “For me, beauty and fashion are always connected. One doesn’t exist without the other,” revealed Giannini. “Makeup is a key element of the Gucci runway show — it helps communicate the essence of the Gucci woman. Eyes, skin, lips — they’re like accessories, all working together to create an unmistakable look.”
Giannini’s unique vision for the new venture has been brought to life by the fashion world’s favorite makeup maestro, Pat McGrath, who thanks to her decade-long experience working on the house’s runway shows had an innate understanding of the brand. The exquisitely crafted collection will offer shades that have often appeared in the Italian brand’s fabrics and accessories, such as gold, black, red, bronze, and copper.
Continuing her long-running collaboration with the brand, Monegasque royal Charlotte Casiraghi will be the face of the cosmetics line, representing the iconic Gucci woman.
