It appears Beyoncé’s IVY PARK and adidas are up to something. NBA players Jalen Green just teased a sneaker on their respective Instagram channels that sources have confirmed to Highsnobiety is likely to be an upcoming adidas x IVY PARK collaboration.
The sneaker in question appears to be a remixed version of the Three Stripes’ Savage running shoe, which was originally released in the late ’90s. Not much is known about the model, though a quick Google search shows several vintage collectors selling pristine or near-DS versions of the original Savage.
adidas’ sneaker features a relatively busy upper with various mixed-material overlays on a mesh base. This design is characteristic of late ’90s and early ’00s running shoes, some of which have been brought back over the past few years by adidas. One such design is the adidas Torsion TRDC, which was the subject of multiple collaborations and successful general release colorways.
There is no word yet on when this collaborative shoe will be released to the public, but considering the teasing phase has begun, it’s highly likely that we’ll get more information from Beyoncé and her team soon.
