BELVEDERE, the luxury vodka brand owned by the LVMH Group, is partnering with the next movie in the James Bond franchise, “Spectre.”
News that the character will return to his martini-sipping ways in the next film should placate fans, some of whom were so incensed at the Heineken placement they called for a boycott of the last movie, “Skyfall.”
The premium vodka brand will be launching two limited edition James Bond bottles, one of which lights up, to mark the major cinematic tie-in.
The first bottle replaces the Belvedere Palace with an etching of the MI6 building, and swaps its signature blue palette scheme with green ink to represent the color used by MI6 officials.
Only 100 of the commemorative bottles will be created, and will not be available for sale. Instead, Belvedere will gift the commemorative bottles to “Bond aficionados” and put them up for charity auctions.
The second bottle, called the 007 Silver Saber, is metallic in color, and lights up thanks to a built-in LED system.
The bottles will be heavily promoted beginning next February, in advance of the film release, slated for November 6, 2015.
