What a memorable night! Jennifer Lawrence tied the knot with husband Cooke Maroney on Saturday, October 19, and by the sound of it, the ceremony was an absolute dream for the 29-year-old actress.
“She and Cooke made it official on Oct. 19, with a star-studded celebration at the palatial Belcourt mansion in Newport, Rhode Island and it was a fairy tale come true,” a source exclusively revealed to Life & Style. “Their vows were so sweet and emotional. Jennifer was close to tears as were some of the guests.” Aw!
While the ceremony was romantic and sentimental, the celebration was quite the opposite, but in the best way. “The reception, on the other hand, was wild,” the insider divulged. “After being treated to a lavish spread including wood-roasted fish and leg of beef, smoked pork belly, salt cod beignets homemade s’mores, the couple and their loved ones did shots and partied until 5:30 a.m.”
What else did they do until the wee hours of the morning? Dance — at least the Hunger Games alum did. “Jen was dancing with everyone — she looked tired by the end of it, but so, so happy!”
Several A-listers attended the wedding, including Jen’s favorite famous momager — Kris Jenner. Not only was the KUWTK star, 63, a guest at the wedding, but she also lent a helping hand. “She’s been tight with Kris for years, and she’s helping her with ideas on the venue, fashion, guest list and even her bridal party,” another source previously told Life & Style.
Kim Kardashian celebrated her birthday the same day as Jen’s wedding, which means Kris skipped her daughter’s party, but we’re sure it’s no biggie. Based on all the Kardashians’ past parties, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Kim have multiple birthday bashes for the remainder of the month.
On the bright side, at least Kris didn’t miss out on seeing Jen and Cooke tie the knot. The newlyweds got engaged in February after eight months of dating. “Jen and Cooke are the perfect couple,” another insider exclusively divulged to Life & Style at the time. “[Jen] says that she knew pretty quickly that he was the one. His family adores her and vice versa.” We wish them the best!
