“Crazy in Love” is playing on the radio, you’re wearing cargo pants, a Von Dutch trucker hat, and most likely a pair of Jeremy Scott x adidas kicks. That was 2003, but it seems time really is a flat circle, because the designer is once again back working with the Three Stripes and more wild designs are on their way.
adidas Originals and Jeremy Scott were responsible for some of the most out-there collaborations at the time. Who could forget the iconic “Teddy Bears”, or the Swarovski-coated “J-Wings,” and of course, the partnership with A$AP Rocky? The iconic collaboration lasted for multiple years, before coming to an end in 2015, after multiple tongue-in-cheek footwear and apparel collections.
Now the two brands are back to resurrect the partnership, starting with Jeremy Scott’s take on the adidas Forum silhouette. “Partnering again with adidas feels like a homecoming and I’m thrilled to be home!” said the designer.
The first look at the collaboration features the Forum High silhouette coated in a money-printed design (with Scott himself at the center of the bill, of course), finished off with the collaboration’s signature wings attached to the lacing. The release takes inspiration from the two’s 2013 release, which featured another money-printed basketball shoe.
The partnership has just kicked off, with the first releases from the new adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott expected to arrive in Fall 2021. If there’s one thing we know for sure, it is that the Moschino creative director will serve up more whimsical takes on the sportswear giant’s most sought-after silhouettes.
