She’s already a seasoned pro! Actor John Cena and his girlfriend, Shay Sharatzadeh, packed on the PDA at the premiere of his new film, Dolittle, on Saturday, January 11. Even though it was the couple’s second time walking a red carpet together, an insider exclusively revealed to Life & Style that Shay seemed to have been at ease while supporting her man at the event.
“John and Shay arrived hand in hand to [the] carpet and walked into carpet holding hands,” the source told Life & Style. “He whispered a few things in her ear to reassure her on [the] carpet, a few gentle kisses on lips. Very sweet. She seemed totally comfortable and happy to be by his side.”
Shay looked gorgeous in a sleeveless, turtleneck pleated silver dress with a thick, wide waistband. She paired her look with silver pointed toe heels and her long, dark brown hair was styled in a beautiful french braid. Meanwhile, the former WWE star looked dapper in a navy blue suit with a white button-up shirt. The 42-year-old accessorized with and a purple tie and brown dress shoes.
John celebrated the premiere of his film, in which he voices the polar bear, Yoshi, and he appeared to be in great spirits in the midst of the news of his ex Nikki Bella‘s engagement to her former Dancing With the Stars partner, Artem Chigvintsev.
“Excited for 2020 and the next decade with you @theartemc,” the 36-year-old Total Bellas star announced via Instagram on January 3. “I said yes in France in November! We have been trying to keep it a secret but really wanted to share our excitement for the New Year!”
One day after sharing the news of her engagement, John took to Twitter and posted a cryptic message about betrayal and love.
“How many people have you totally let into your life?” the Playing With Fire star wrote on January 4. “For many out there the number is 0. We have all been betrayed, it hurts, but if you’re brave enough to continue to try and let people in, when someone does connect with you. They will know and love you for who you really are.”
But it seems like John is happy and going strong with Shay. Back in July, an insider told Us Weekly that the former pro wrestler is “really into Shay” and “excited about their new relationship.”
