John Douglas will kick off his 2021 North American Art Tour at the Opal Grand Resort & Spa in Delray Beach. The Opal Grand will present Douglas’ artwork in “High-Performance Fine Art Tour,” from Thursday, March 25, to Sunday, March 28, with appearances by the artist and drummer on March 26 and 27.
The multi-talented artist merged his passions for drumming and art, ultimately becoming the premier drum customizer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bon Jovi, Mana, Van Halen, ZZ Top, Pantera, and Iron Maiden. Douglas is currently on tour with Aerosmith, who he most recently performed with at the 2020 Grammy Awards and MusicCares.
Douglas’ artistic depictions of the rock and roll icons he has toured with are coveted and collected around the world. Some of his notable creations honor Joe Perry, Jimmy Page, Freddie Mercury, Stevie Nicks, Dave Grohl, Bono, and The Rolling Stones. Some of these original works of art are signed by their rockstar subjects.
The event is free and open to the public and all artwork is on exhibition & available for acquisition. The event is sponsored by the Prakas Company.
