The last time we caught up with North Palm Beacher Kate Katzman, she had wrapped four film projects that were set to hit theaters in early 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, those release dates were pushed back. One of Katzman’s projects, The Comeback Trail, is set to hit theaters on December 18.
Katzman stars alongside Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, Morgan Freeman and Zach Braff in the dark comedy. She plays the hapless director that De Niro and Braff’s characters hire to direct the film behind their grand scheme to murder action star Duke Fontaine (Tommy Lee Jones) to collect the insurance policy the production has taken out on his life. Katzman will next appear in Adverse opposite Mickey Rourke in February 2021 and is set to receive the ‘Rising Star’ award at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival this month.
