Decorating diva, coming through! Kim Kardashian is looking to expand her KKW Beauty brand into another niche market — home decor. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star filed to trademark “KKW Home” through her parent company, Kimsaprincess Inc., in late August, Life & Style can confirm.
According to documents obtained by Life & Style, the trademark would cover textiles for home furnishings, linens for bed, bath and kitchen, comforters, shower curtains, comforters, containers for storing cosmetics, bath products, bathroom candles, body sponges, towels, aromatherapy diffusers and baskets. TMZ was the first to report the news.
It’s no surprise to see the business owner make the move to housewares and home decor. Kim, 39, and husband Kanye West are very particular about curating the family home they share with their four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
“When it comes to decorating their homes, they spare no expense,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style of Kim and the Kar-Jenner family’s penchant for an impeccable living space. “Between filming their shows at home to entertaining and hosting parties at home and showing off their spaces on Instagram, they make sure that their homes are picture-perfect at all times.”
The California native and Kanye, 42, have a “very specific” look for their home, the source explained. “Their entire home is meant to look like it was carved out of the earth, with no distractions to the eye. Everything is of the same color and materials look extremely natural. Kanye feels that is the best way to live.”
When asked how she would describe her home during her Vogue “73 Questions” video in April 2019, the Skims founder said the property was a “minimal monastery.” The inspiration behind the architecture, color scheme and decor came in part from her rapper husband, as well as Belgian antiquarian and interior designer Axel Vervoordt. He helped design the sprawling space and make it as well-known it is today.
Kim and Kanye purchased the Hidden Hills mansion in December 2014 for a whopping $20 million, seven months after the couple got married. In 2017, the dynamic duo decided to renovate the space and create the home they have today. In April 2018, Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, revealed the renovated mansion is now worth a staggering $60 million.
We have a feeling Kim K is going to kill the home decor game!
