Koh Samui is getting ready to welcome its hottest new restaurant property, KOH at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui – a must-visit dining destination offering authentic local cuisine and spectacular wine.
Located amid a plantation of coconut palms and cooled by breezes from the Gulf of Thailand, KOH Thai Kitchen & Bar offers a setting and ambiance like nowhere else on the island.
Designed by architect Bill Bensley of Bensley Design Studios, the restaurant makes the most of its position on a palm-covered hilltop on the northwestern tip of Koh Samui by providing an open-air dining venue that is at one with its surroundings, while offering a contemporary space distinctly Thai in style.
Helmed by Executive Chef Alex Garés, KOH’s kitchen is a creative workspace for authentic Thai cuisine with flavors that speak for themselves. Going back to the roots of some of the island’s favourite dishes, Garés and Sous Chef Sumalee Khunpet, also known as Chef Jeab, have have fashioned a menu that is at once authentic and straightforward, while also featuring less familiar Thai recipes and flavors.
“We’re taking a step back to the roots of Thai cuisine to offer dishes that aren’t what you’d normally find at your local Thai restaurant, but that feature genuine, clean flavors that come from top quality local products,” said Garés.
Many of our recipes have their origins in southern Thailand, and we’re excited to bring the genuine flavours of the islands to our guests through the cuisine at KOH.”
KOH at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui will be open daily for lunch and dinner from mid-December 2013.
