Will she or won’t she? That’s the question on everyone’s lips about Kris Jenner potentially joining the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills now that Keeping Up With the Kardashians is coming to an end. With star Denise Richards leaving the series after her bombshell season, “anything is possible” — and the matriarch is “tempted” to take her place, an insider exclusively tells Life & Style.
“Andy [Cohen] has been begging Kris to join RHOBH for weeks,” the source reveals. “They’ve been talking about it and she’s tempted, but she’d want to play a bigger part on the production side of things, too. They’d have to reach some form of agreement for her sign up as an official housewife but there have been discussions.”
This wouldn’t be the first time the longtime reality star, 64, has appeared on the series. “She’s made cameo appearances on the show before and had a blast,” the insider gushes. “As it stands, she’s more likely to become a familiar face next rather than an official housewife next season, and will see how it goes from there but anything is possible.”
News broke that Denise, 49, would be leaving the show after two seasons on Wednesday, September 9. Almost immediately, fans and celebs alike started calling for the momager to join the cast of the hit Bravo series as her replacement. Even her ex-husband, Caitlyn Jenner, agreed she would be “phenomenal” on the show.
“Let’s put it this way, Kris could handle all of those women and some others,” the accomplished Olympian, 70, told Access the same day Denise left the series. “That’s kind of in her element. I think she would do very well. She would have a lot to say with all these girls.”
However, Watch What Happens Live host Andy, 52, isn’t convinced Kris would relinquish her producing powers to be a part of the beloved Beverly Hills crew.
“I don’t think she would do it. [Kris] is leaving a show for which she has total control over. Why would she leave and join a show that she has no control over?” Andy questioned on his SiriusXM radio show the day of Denise’s departure. “She wouldn’t be an executive producer of the show, she wouldn’t have control over the edits, so I think for someone who is used to having so much power over a show, I can’t see her surrendering that power.”
That being said, longtime friend and RHOBH OG Kyle Richards seems to think Kris might become one of the bunch sooner or later. After a fan posted a meme that read, “When I see people post about Kris Jenner joining RHOBH” alongside a photo of Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie‘s forearm tattoo edited to say, “It’s not happening,” Kyle responded, “Noooo, you never know.”
Guess we’ll have to wait and see if the queen of reality TV decides to share her crown with the rest of the RHOBH babes!
