Le Coucou

Le Coucou, located in the 11 Howard hotel, honors old-school French cuisine at its fancy, fine-dining establishment. The SoHo neighborhood hotspot is housed in a high-ceilinged, airy space with large, loft-style doors that allow plenty of natural light to come through. Beautiful chandeliers hang above the tables covered with white table cloths. The bar is just as stunning, with a muraled wall and backlit bar shelf, making it the perfect spot for a drink before or after dinner. Le Coucou serves phenomenal classic French dishes with lobster, rabbit, duck and foie gras but with a contemporary twist, and the restaurant’s vintage, old-world feel makes it a trendy atmosphere to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge on a Friday night. Chef Daniel Rose excels in French bistro fare, and guests will adore his quenelle de brochet with lobster sauce, roulade with mustard sauce or veal tongue with caviar, among other dishes. Chef Rose worked with restaurateur Stephen Starr, whose restaurant group operates more than 50 world-class restaurants, on Le Coucou; the restaurant first opened in 2016 and today is still one of the highlights within New York’s culinary scene.
