Yesterday has been marked by the extraordinary Stella Mc Cartney, who has openned the Monday of this PFW (Paris Fashion Week) with a great show really worthy of her style.
The presentation of the new “SS” collection has happened into the amazing ambiance of the Opéra Garnier of Paris. The first guests to come to the show have obviously included Paul Mc Cartney (leader of Beatles and Stella’s father) but also Kate Moss and few of the most awaited top models of the fashion week: Miranda Kerr and Cara Delevingne.
And in the meantime Cara and her unavoidable “faces” were going around the backstage, the spotlights were just lighting up the catwalk for the show. Few seconds and you could see the next summer Stella’s creations modeling. The music rocks: “Let’s get naked”!
That’s it….let’s get naked as in fact all the clothes where superlight, almost impalpable, satin in organze and the transparency won.
What I noticed has been an interesting mixing effect between the masculine and feminine items and the similar colour combinations; I can really remind the mix of different tones of green and the white opaque and sensual dresses were making the way to athletic and sportive tops. Above you can see some of the pictures of the backstage and the main show (the croc-like coat is amazing, isn’t it?).
But that’s not all.. in regard to the make-up and hairs, Stella’s has presented some very simple solutions: straight hairstyles, combed and tied on one side and light make-up except the eyes where the “god” Eye-liner was the undisputed ruler.
Still not over… She couldn’t really stop to surprise. After the show she got the afterparty to relax after the rush and to celebrate the new collection!
The address of the party has been hidden until the last minute to ensure that just insiders could enter but La Coquette Italienne managed to get in for you and that’s her outfit for the gig: both the top and the skirt came from the winter collection by TOPSHOP (London), the sandals by GUESS, a DE WAN customized bracelet and a “passe-partout” by DIOR.
What to say more?
Well, this collection has been discussed and talked a lot… everything great but if I have to chose I really want these sunglasses (above)!!!!
