It’s becoming harder to find dog-friendly places online. Someone needs to create a site or incorporate it into an app. Anyways the initial plan was to meet up the ladies at Farm Girl, but alas when we arrived. The queues formed to outside the street and the owner at the Scottish store was hella mad. We put our name down to be told there’s a 1-hour wait. So, we asked for more recommendations and he told us two other places. Lisa’s sounded more appealing and we headed towards Ladbroke Grove. From Notting Hill to Ladbroke Grove it was about a 20-minute walk.
Lisa’s excels in simplicity from the outside a few tables and chairs, it’s the back of the place that wows. Birch wooden tables and white tables under a ceiling of windows floods plenty of natural light. Dogs are supposed to not sit at the back but we hid Leon behind us and he was well behaved throughout.
The menu is simple, healthy breakfast options with Scandinavian influences. Meatballs were tempting but I wanted something quite light and opted for FRASVÅFFLOR £6.
FRASVÅFFLOR is Swedish waffles, very thin, light and crispy compared to the ones you get in dessert parlours. My plate came with vanilla whipped cream, where you can see the specks from black vanilla beans. Also underneath the whipped cream was gamia fabrics raspberry jam.
The Swedish waffles made a perfect afternoon sweet snack. Along with my freshly pressed pomegranate, carrots, ginger juice. The girls were slightly disappointed with the portion of yoghurt and poached pear. C ordered the large eggs royal but was disappointed that for the extra £4 all she got extra was an egg and not another slice of sourdough and was left hungry.
The prices are very decent for the area.
