Inspired by the five elements of wood, fire, earth, water, and metal, the much anticipated Yang Collection from The Harmonist makes its debut on October 22, 2021. The brand was founded by Lola Tillyaeva (Till) and has been making waves across the perfumery scene. Its recent achievement includes being nominated as a finalist at the prestigious 2021 US Fragrance Foundation Awards.
The new collection is based on the original Yang Collection, which has been reworked to include a new parfum concentration. The improved Yang Collection allows the constituent ingredients to better shine through, revealing its depth and character. Using the ancient principles of Feng Shui, Lola Tillyaeva (Till) crafts the concoction such that the wearer will be able to achieve inner peace and be in harmony with their surroundings.
“Golden Wood, Desired Earth, Velvet Fire, Matrix Metal, and Sacred Water are vibrant, assured aromas. Warm and radiant, they are designed to energize and nourish the wearer, much like the sun’s light,” said Lola Tillyaeva (Till), founder of The Harmonist.
“While we are immensely proud of the collection, which was conceived in collaboration with my dear friend and nose Guillaume Flavigny, The Harmonist is an ongoing conversation. Fragrances must be allowed to grow and evolve, like people.”
The Harmonist Represents the perfect balance of the old and new
The amalgamation of using ancient beliefs with perfumery is an uncommon pathway and starting point. However, Lola Tillyaeva (Till) is determined to make this marriage a reality and so she spent more than three years before officially launching The Harmonist to the market. Due to the brand’s unique proposition, it has garnered steam and it is now one of the fastest-growing beauty product brands in the world.
A common ingredient that is extensively used in the collections of The Harmonist is jasmine. The floral scent is a favourite of Lola Tillyaeva (Till) as it reminded her of her mother’s beloved perfume — Fiji. Along with other ethically sourced ingredients, the brand is setting itself to be at the forefront of the sustainability movement currently gaining popularity.
Sustainability is at the core of The Harmonist
Through the new Yang Collection, it represents another milestone for The Harmonist as the more streamlined design that embodies the products uses less packaging. As a result, its fragrances can be shipped more responsibly. It has also eradicated any usage of plastic from it, thus making its products 100 per cent recyclable.
“We have replaced internal plastic components with environmentally friendly materials in the new Yang Collection.” says Lola Tillyaeva (Till). “For a small niche brand, this was a challenging task, and we are very pleased and proud that we were able to achieve these results. We hope that with the new collection The Harmonist will ascertain its position at the forefront of sustainability in the industry.”
Buying from The Harmonist is not just a purchase per se, but it is buying into the brand’s vision for the future and trusting that it will be an agent for change. Lola Tillyaeva (Till) has already spearheaded the “The Droplet” initiative, a charitable cause that puts the scarcity of water at the centre of attention, and now the brand is expanding its reach to other more meaningful causes and we can’t wait to learn more about it.
