For autumn/winter 2017, the women’s ready-to-wear looks are built around four key concepts: Me Time amps up the comfort, with impeccably soft trousers alongside welcoming knitwear and sports capes; City Living comes with a touch of formality, its long coats and fitted jackets fusing masculine patterns with a feminine silhouette; Leisure Time offers the ultimate in adaptability, featuring reversible furs, duffle coats, gilets, cabans and jackets; and, as the name suggests, the three Iconic Pieces form particular highlights of the collection: Traveller in cashmere, denim and linen, and printed Bomber Windmate and Jimi in patterned jersey.
This season’s menswear collection is, likewise, divided into four themes that embody Loro Piana’s essence, for a distinct wardrobe that is elegant, sophisticated and innovative. Seasonal Identity focuses on a timeless look, with refined silhouettes and handsome shades of navy, burgundy and grey. The brand’s urban slant is showcased within Sportswear Leisure, with its subtle use of zippers, hoods and longer lengths alongside Windmate and the brand’s other technical fabrics – alpaca and camel hair – and even features a striking pop of orange. For the man about town, Seasonal Urban features coats and overcoats in sharp, fitted shapes alongside single and double-breasted jackets.
