“Quick I am tasting the stars.” Uttered the monk, legend has it that a monk tasted the first ever sparkling wine. The stars he mentions was the millions of bubbles in the glass. Luc Belaire have been produced in France since 1898, currently the 5th and 6th generation father and son winemakers oversees each bottle.
Luc Belaire makes two French wines Beliare Rose and Belaire Brut. They are happy to announce their partnership with popular artist and illustrator Jon burgerman with the launch of two luxury limited edition woven picnic blankets.
I myself is a big fan of Jon Burgerman, so when Luc Belaire invited me down to once in lifetime chance to meet Jon Burgerman I couldn’t resist. You see I missed Jon Burgerman signing at Kidrobot many years ago; I myself being in the creative industries instantly loved Jon Burgerman expressive doodle art. His work is instantly recognisable with his iconic characters.
Luc Belaire held their event at the main financial district in London at Coq D’argent Bank. Heading down to 1 Poultry street I took the lift up to rooftop, and was whisk away to a private party.
Getting a taste of both the sparkling French wines, starting with Belaire Rose. This unique rose is crafted with a blend of Grenache, cinsault and syrah grapes. Whilst Belaire Brut is a sparkling chardonnay. I find sparkling wine a lot easier to drink than normal wine and can easily drink by the bottle.
The guest enjoyed canapés by Coq D’argent and a picnic blanket was set out on the lawn of the outdoor rooftop facing London iconic buildings, the Gherkin, Walkie Talkie and Cheese Grater.
Jon Burgerman appeared, relaxed, and had drinks with the guests. You can get the limited edition blankets alongside the exclusive package purchase of six 750ml bottles of either Brut Gold or Rose for £134.95 or two magnums of the Brut Gold or Rose for £11.4.95 from www.31dover.com.
