We know the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade gets all the hype, but let’s not forget about the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade! The holiday celebration brings A-list talent to their parks across America for amazing performances, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off your Christmas morning. Not sure how to watch the 2019 event? Don’t worry, we have all the details below!
How to Watch the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade
If you want to watch the parade and all of the performances, all you have to do is turn on the TV at 10 a.m. in your time zone. The show will air on ABC for two hours, and can be streamed live on the ABC website if you have cable.
Unlike the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Christmas parade isn’t a live event. Instead, it’s filmed over several days across the four parks of Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. The “parade” segments take place in Anaheim, while the performances are filmed on stages in Orlando. These parts are filmed in November or early December, and there’s no surefire way for parkgoers to watch in person. Most of the viewing space is reserved for staff members and their families.
Who Is Hosting the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade
This year, the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will have three hosts: former Glee star Matthew Morrison, singer and TV host Emma Bunton, and former Bachelor star and Food Network host Jesse Palmer. Between the three of them, we’re sure we’ll have a few good laughs, heartwarming stories, and fun moments.
Who Is Performing at the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade
2019 has a stacked cast of performers for the Christmas Day parade, and while some will be singing holiday classics, others will be performing their own hits. Sting will be singing his song “Soul Cake,” Reggae star Shaggy will be belting out his original song “Christmas with Friends,” a capella superstars Pentatonix are planning a rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” Ingrid Michaelson is teaming up with America’s Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal to sing “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” from Disneyland Resort, rock band Portugal. The Man will perform “White Christmas” and their hit “Feel it Still,” Former Fifth Harmony singer and Dancing with the Stars finalist Ally Brooke will belt out “Christmas Through Your Eyes,” and the talented young cast of Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will do a high-energy medley at the Disneyland Resort. We can’t wait to see them all!
