Giving him the option. Malika Haqq reportedly allowed the father of her unborn child, O.T. Genasis, to decide if he wanted to be a part of her pregnancy journey. The exes are currently expecting their first child together and she didn’t want to pressure him to choose one way or the other because they are no longer together romantically.
“Malika didn’t want to make O.T. part of her pregnancy journey unless he wanted to be involved,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They are talking and feeling it out. He’s been getting more involved as her pregnancy has progressed.” The rapper (whose real name is Odis Oliver Flores) is already the proud father of a son from a previous relationship.
On the bright side, it looks like the former flames are getting along fabulously. Malika, 36, and the “CoCo” lyricist, 32, were spotted getting pampered together over the weekend. The two appeared to be in great spirits while getting manicures and pedicures at Mod Nails in Los Angeles according to an eyewitness, but they weren’t “showing any PDA.”
The exes did, however, seem “very comfortable with each other and were friendly and laughing a lot.”
Khloé Kardashian’s BFF announced that she was expecting back in September, taking to Instagram with a photo of herself holding up a positive pregnancy test.
“I listen to my heart, and I’ve decided that the rest of my life will be the best of my life. I’m pregnant!” Malika wrote while sharing the big news. “I didn’t know when, I just knew one day. God said it’s my turn, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the little spirit that grows inside of me. I am yours, baby, and you are mine.”
“Congratulations Mika May!!!!!” KoKo commented under the photo. “I am so beyond overwhelmed with love and happiness!!!! God is GREAT!!!! We are all so blessed!!!! I love you and baby madly.”
O.T. and Malika dated for two years before they called it quits this past spring, having first been linked to each other in 2017. The chart-topping artist previously gushed over their bond while taking to Instagram in October 2018. “To the world you may be one person but to me, you’ve become my world. My life has changed with you in it,” he wrote at the time.
Malika and O.T.’s bundle of joy is due in March 2020. Clearly, he or she will be surrounded by love!
