Is there a chance? Beyoncé‘s father, Mathew Knowles, weighed in on the possibility of a Destiny’s Child reunion. Although the music exec exclusively dished to Life & Style that “nothing’s confirmed” yet, he’s keeping his fingers crossed like the rest of us. While it would be amazing to see Bey, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams take the stage together again, like when they teased the idea at Coachella 2018, but Mathew explained that it would take years of planning.
“I certainly would personally love and hope, and I think their fans would love and hope that they would soon come out with a tour, but I think right now each one of those ladies is working on individual projects,” said the 67-year-old, who is also a real estate investor with BNGI that acquires and leases specialized real estate assets, including cannabis and hemp farms. “To do something like a tour takes two to three years and so if they haven’t started now, which they have not … it would be the best case three to four years.”
It’s no secret that each member of the former trio is hustling hard these days. Queen Bey and Jay-Z have their plate full raising three children — Blue Ivy, 7, and 2-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. The A-list couple works to keep their family extremely close, despite their hectic schedules.
“Jay-Z and Beyonce have nannies for the kids and their assistants help out too, but they mostly try and bring the kids everywhere,” a source told Us Weekly in June. “Blue always travels with Beyoncé and comes with her when she’s working. The twins are getting older and Beyoncé has been taking them out a little more too … They’re a very tight-knit family and like to do everything together.”
The “Empire State of Mind” artist may be a legit billionaire but he still goes by “dad” at home. “Jay-Z does a lot of daddy duty stuff and he takes Blue to school and things like that,” the insider added.
A Destiny’s Child reunion would be incredible, but don’t hold your breath just yet.
