McLaren has unveiled a special one-off P1 hypercar that pays tributes to one of the legendary drivers who have driven for its F1 team.
Inspired by the patriotic crash helmet livery of four-times Formula 1 world champion, Alain Prost, the P1 is painted white with blue and red graphics.
Created by McLaren’s Special Operations (MSO), the one-off P1 hypercar remains mechanically unchanged under the skin.
The hybrid powertrain has a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that is mid-mounted and produces 726 horsepower. An electric motor adds in another 176 horsepower for a combined 902.
This P1 is the first of several “Moments” special edition cars that will pay tribute to the racers and competition cars that have shined throughout the company’s illustrious history.
