It’s no secret Kourtney Kardashian is all about her kids and her career, but she normally likes to keep both aspects of her life separate. Recently, the 40-year-old decided to mix both and let her daughter, Penelope Disick, see what her mama does for a living.
“It’s interesting because I used to, as a working mom, really try to separate work from my mom time,” she told E! News in an interview published on Tuesday, September 24. “I recently thought it’s a great thing for my kids to be able to see me in working mode. Even at our Poosh event, I had Penelope come. She really wanted to spend the day with me and I thought, ‘You know what, let her see her mom in action.'”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has been super dedicated to her lifestyle website, Poosh, and the name of her brand was inspired by Penelope herself. On the site, Kourt has gotten candid about anything and everything including her diet, as well as her successful coparenting relationship with ex Scott Disick.
Kourtney and Scott, who share three children — Mason, 9, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 4 — split in 2015. Since then, they’ve managed to make their kids a priority while dating other people. However, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a challenge. “I think the hardest part was when we both started new relationships,” the brunette beauty admitted in a Poosh post in April. “Like, the hardest part because that caused fights between you and I about introducing the kids. I think that caused the most challenges.”
Scott agreed with his ex. “Yeah, you’re right. It’s one of those things that you don’t think is ever going to happen,” he said. “But, like everything in the world, you know, things move.” It turns out this was such a crucial moment in their coparenting relationship that they both sought help and went to therapy to learn how to properly communicate. Fortunately, they got through it.
Like Kourtney, Scott can’t help but gush about his three kids any chance he gets, and others can’t help but notice. Lexi Kaplan and Allie Kaplan, who appeared on Flip It Like Disick, exclusively told Life & Style that “he is a really great father.” The 26-year-old twins continued, “He is just honestly a nice guy. I remember we were talking a lot — Penelope had some recital she was going to. He was so excited.” How sweet!
